He is a regularly gigging musician who has performed on countless stages in various guises, with his own bands as well as standing in for other musicians.

Mike is also is a songwriter who writes for various music libraries, through which, his music has been used in the tv and film industry.​

He has been a teacher on and off most of his adult life, teaching all the instruments he plays to whoever has the passion and willingness to learn.
