We came across Mike as a potential drum teacher for our daughter and decided to book a lesson for her. She was quite apprehensive but as soon as we met Mike she never looked back. He was kind, funny and the most amazing teacher. He always has various ways of explaining techniques and has a knack of building confidence. Most importantly E really enjoyed learning with Mike.

I hadn’t played drums in my life, but Mike got me playing some great patterns and rhythm in only a few lessons. Very encouraging and can explain a technique in multiple ways to help you understand.

When I first started learning drums with Mike, I was nervous that I would never get the hang of it and make an absolute tit out of myself in the process. However, from my first lesson it was apparent that Mike’s patience and natural ability to teach was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. He ignited my passion to learn and progress.
When I say that Mike was patient, I cannot emphasise that point enough! I have very little patience with myself when I am learning something new and expect immediate perfection. He knew exactly how to combat my self-deprecation, and if I was struggling he would break things down or reshape lessons to match my unusual learning style.
Mike ALWAYS made the lessons fun and different. I’ve never laughed and learnt so much at the same time! I cannot recommend him enough!
